We spent four weeks this month traveling to the different zones in the mission. It was zone conferences and we volunteered to BBQ hamburgers and all the fixin's for them. We loaded our BBQ in the van and toured our mission for the last time. We cooked 484 hamburgers. Sliced 72 tomatoes. Used 15 heads of lettuce. 12 jars of pickles. 72 cans of fruit cocktail. 72 apples, sliced. Lots of chips and lots of soda! We topped off with 242 ice cream bars. We were also asked to share our thoughts on total commitment.
During one of our overnight stays, the lighthouse was functioning.

We did the usual by going to San Jose de Carrasco Ward and presented our capacitacion. We decided that maybe we should video the training so that the next couple can get an idea of what to do. Here is the link for anyone who wants to listen to a spanish presentation.

Because it was Fast Sunday, we also were able to attend the break the fast meal with the temple group because San Jose de Carrasco is in Montevideo. President Cook joined us. Hermana Cook has been sick with a deep chest cold. It was also Hermana Hokanson's birthday.
When the missionaries are invited to eat, they always sing a song for us before they leave.

Hermana Stewart and I liked to play but we are not very good! |
You can tell by Hermana Hall's form, she is a pro. |
This is a tile floor, so staying on your feet was a challenge. |
Dia de lós Muertos Today was also a holiday so once again we ventured forth to eat together and we were hoping for the Chinese restaurant in Carrasco. No luck. We can never find anyone open at the time we want to eat dinner which is around 6 pm. Most dining places do not open until 8 pm. The name of the restaurant was enticing and they were open. Food was very good but expensive. But Carrasco is an expensive area. As always though, we had a great time together.
