Capilla Abierta with two wards, Centro y Pueblo Nuevo.
YouTube: Capilla Abierta for Centro and Pueblo Nuevo
Both wards did great presentations. There was great member particiapation when asked for references. A reference card was starred by the missionaries with a non member. This was a very successful evening for all. The weather is getting a bit cooler, but the rain held off.
This church building is in the middle of a downtown area and looks more like office buildings than a regular chapel. |
We always have the Bishop start with a prayer meeting with all the members of the ward along with the missionaries. |
Lots of reference cards filled out. This is gold for the missionaries. |
When there is lag time, Elder Burnett teaches. |
I didn't take the picture, so the photographer missed getting all of Christ. |

We did our training for another out of the way ward, Sarandi del Yi, so we spent the night in the Durazno area. That road is very "country road", but at least there is not much traffic so you don't have to do alot of passing of slow vehicles.
On our way home, we had a beautiful "moonrise" that I was trying to capture while Mike was driving.
Some of them of course are blurry, but it was an interesting perspective. Sometimes the moon seemed way out there and then when we would turn the corner, it would be a beautiful, huge full moon.
We made it back in time to attend the ice cream social at the mission home. Whenever we have elders leaving the office staff, Hermana Cook gives them this nice send off. They do work hard in the offices.
Elder Delgado and Elder Leavitt. Elder Leavitt is being transferred. |
Elder Torres is also being transferred. |
