What a privilege to sustain three new apostles this weekend. All of the talks were inspiring and I will post my thoughts on those in separate facebook posts. The most heart wrenching one for me was watching President Monson give his talk Sunday and give it all the strength he had left. What determination to be a finisher! More incredible is what our missionary friends, the Anderson's shared with us via email.
"I thought you might enjoy this. The first drawing is by my 4 year old granddaughter and the other is by my daughter's friend in another town. This is fulfillment of prophecy, "your young will see visions."
Love Vicki Jo Anderson"
Her daughter wrote this to their family:
"Hey family!
Wondering if you were all as concerned as we were for President Monson when he
barely made it to the end of his talk! We are so glad he did. I wanted to share
this with you, I had my kids draw pictures during his talk to get them to
listen(to at least him!) Saylor gave me her picture and I didn't think anything
of it till I sent it to our family text and Sunshine asked who the 2 people on
the sides were. I asked Saylor, and she said I don't know. The more I looked at
the picture the more I realized this isn't typical "people" that she
usually draws. Risa posted about it, and one of her friends posted the picture
HER 5 year old drew of President Monson, and that 5 year old ALSO drew 2
figures on both side of president Monson... In both drawings you can tell both
kids saw something on their heads like "crowns" or "halo"
Haha or just curly hair. It became more
powerful to me that just maybe their were Angels attending to him to help him
make it to the end of his Testimony.
