Participants in the Church's Worldwide Service Day

Saturday September 13, 2014

Today we participated with the Malvin Ward as they participated in the Worldwide Church Service Project.  We went to a public school. We sanded and scraped the metal fencing all around the school and then painted it bright blue.  Others worked on fixing up an outside playhouse that was in the schoolyard. Another group worked across the street on the kindergarten yard and fence. It threatened to rain all day and as it started to sprinkle, Hermana Ots said a prayer and asked for the rain to hold off.  It did.  Heavenly Father listens to these faithful missionaries!

More people showed up throughout the day.

His trusty knife worked well for scraping.

Despite his best efforts to not get paint on his good shirt,
the wind picked up and blew speckles of paint on the
front of his shirt.
Watch the youtube to see the finished project.

After a long day, the hermanas were starved and wanted to go to McDonalds so we went through the Automac.

The above ad states that if you don't get through in 30 seconds
you get a 1/4 pound GRATIS!
It took us 30 minutes to get through and still no gratis burger.
Uruguay is no hurry for anything, so I am not
sure why they even have that ad up?

Just thought the kids would like to see a
McDonalds Uruguayan menu.
