A Wonderful Christmas Mission Devotional

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

I started the day very early so that I could be to the Malvin chapel before anyone else.  I needed to practice my organ solo for today's program.  We all worked very hard to make this day special for all the missionaries.  The efforts made by everyone made this day very special.  As my Christmas gift for the missionaries, I made a YouTube video so they could share this with their families.  So once again, I was on my feet during most of the program.  They are really not happy with me right now!

It is the whole program so the video is 1 1/2 hours long.  Christmas Devotional 2014
At least listen to the mission choir. They have at least 4 songs that are really good!

Here are a few pictures that are included in the video.

I ran my good camera battery out so I had to rely on my Android phone and Mike's iPad for photos and videos.  So, some photos and videos have better quality than others.

We fed them pizza and they loved it because each companionship received a whole pizza. They also had all the salad they wanted to eat and watermelon. Their dessert was wafer ice cream sandwiches.

I played an organ solo medley for the Missionary Christmas Devotional. Everyone commented on how powerful it felt. The funny thing was that I had no control of the volume.  It just started loud and my pedal would not bring it down any softer.  Good thing it was a packed chapel.
The video doesn't do the bass justice but here it is just the same:  Organ Solo

The senior couples also did a musical number.  We practiced twice but I thought we did okay.
