Pan de Azucar and Punte del Este Beaches

Saturday Oct 11, 2014

Capilla Abierta in Pan de Azucar.

Pan de Azucar was the smallest building we have been into. But the members are strong and active. We had two rooms to work with and their stands were well presented even though the space was limited.  The highlight was that three non member families came.  The members were very excited. In order to expand their tiny building they only need 10-15 more active members.  It was a wonderful experience for everyone.

Reading her "own copy" of the Book of Mormon.
We give them away to those who are interested.
In the interior towns, you hear alot of advertisment blasting their way down the street.  They put loud speakers on a vehicle and drive up and down the streets. (No noise ordinances here).
Elections are coming up and advertising is ramping up. This is by far the smallest vehcile I have seen!

The area we are working in now is the Maldonado area. The drive is about 2 hours.  We got home last night at about 11 pm and got up early to head back to Maldonado 2 Ward and do their Capacitacion.
Punta del Este is where the money of Uruguay exists.  The beaches here do not have the muddy river coming into it, so they are beautiful. We had a nice beautiful drive home by taking the coastal route.
We got out of our van and walked the boardwalk but we were quite overdressed for the area.  We are anxious to come back here on our P-Day and walk the pier and maybe roast hot dogs on the beach!
