P-Day. I baked all
day, bread, sourdough bread, and oatmeal cookies. I made my own brown sugar. They have a brown sugar, but it is a bigger
granule and not as moist. No
molasses exist here either. So I experimented
and put the brown sugar in the blender to make it finer. I then added some maple syrup and stirred it
into the sugar. It worked great!
Mike did the laundry which is an all day
process when we have to use a clothes line.
We studied some Spanish and then walked ½ hour to our appointment with
Pedro and his family. We had an
excellent visit with Ema, his wife. She
gave the closing prayer. Pedro was still
at work so it was a one on one lesson which I think went very well. Camila was not there though. We walked back home to get our sweet potatoes
that I had baked for the salmon BBQ that Elder Pugmire arranged for the senior
couples of both missions, including the mission presidents. We walked back to the bus stop and said we would
take whatever came first, a taxi or the bus.
The bus came first. We spent a great
evening with the best people in Uruguay.
